Industrial RGI 2024

Roberts Group International

In the last two years I’ve made over 20 films for Roberts Group International (RGI). Films that build trust, show their expertise and character, and keep them at the top of the textile recycling field.

Despite being one of the UK’s largest textile recyclers, RGI had a problem. For years the industry has sat under public and media scrutiny: stories of dodgy recyclers, and a misconception about where the material really goes. For a company that’s innovating and trying to have a positive impact, that makes trust hard to earn.

From announcing the FAB Materials partnership in Anglesey, which turns unusable textiles into MDF, to launching their rebrand as RGI, we’ve travelled the UK, climbed to a waterfall in the Lake District in the pouring rain, and been covered in shredded textile fibres, all to get the message out. We’ve showcased their work with the Fire Fighters Charity and Knowsley Council, filmed in schools — Hatton among them — teaching the next generation to dress sustainably, and chased their new electric vans with an FPV drone.

Each film serves a purpose. They’re used in sales and recruitment, sent to the media, and run as marketing. RGI used to be a name their customers couldn’t picture. Now there’s a face to it — the family who run it, on screen.

RGI know their industry better than anyone. The films just give a prospect a way to see that for themselves, instead of taking it on trust.

Do people really understand what you do? Tell me what a film would need to achieve. I read every enquiry myself and reply within two working days.

Will is creative, works with your ideas and helps bring them to life in the final edit. An absolute pro.
