Commercial and industrial film, made in Leicester.

I'm a filmmaker based in Anstey, just north of the city. I make films for Leicester businesses that are great at what they do and need a better way to show it.

One person, start to finish

Most video production in Leicester runs through an agency. An account manager, a producer, a director and crew booked in separately, and a quote built to cover all of them.

I work the other way round. I direct, shoot and edit, and on most jobs I'm the only person you deal with, from the first phone call to the final cut. Nothing gets lost in a handover, because there isn't one. You explain the business once, to the person who's going to film it.

When a project's bigger than one pair of hands, I bring in people I trust and run the shoot myself. You still deal with me. The film just gets the crew it needs.

I came up in the recycling trade

Before I made films, I worked in textile recycling. Years of it. So when I walk onto a factory floor or a yard, I'm not seeing it for the first time — I know what's worth the shot and what a site manager needs the film to do.

The first film I ever made explained a recycling process most people had never thought about. It became the most-used content the company had: sales, recruitment, sent to the banks and the insurers.

I've filmed for RGI, a recycling group, since early 2024. The films give a complicated business a way to explain itself — to customers who don't know how the process works, and to the people they're trying to hire — and they put the family behind it on screen. That's the bar I've worked to since: video that does a real job long after it's delivered.

The work I do best

Leicester built its name on making things. Textiles, manufacturing, the trades that still run in the units and yards around the city and out across Leicestershire. Those are the businesses I film best: the ones with something physical to show and a story that doesn't fit in a brochure. The same goes for the hospitality and automotive work — businesses where the look has to be right and the film has to earn its keep long after the shoot.

Based just up the road

Anstey is ten minutes from the centre of Leicester, so I can be on a city-centre site or out at a unit in the county without it becoming a line on the quote.

Certified drone operator, fully insured, and used to working to whatever safety rules a site runs.

If you've got a film in mind, or just a problem you think one might solve, tell me what it needs to do.

I read every enquiry myself and reply within two working days.
